Your Guide to Free Summer Concerts in Boone County, Indiana (2026)

Boone County turns into a music lover's playground every summer, and you don't have to spend a dime to enjoy it. Between the Zionsville Cultural District's long-running concert series, the Zionsville Lions Club's Sunday concerts, Whitestown's Friday night lineup at Main Street Park, and Lebanon's Music on the Plaza series downtown, there's live music happening somewhere in the county almost every week from late May through September.

Grab your lawn chairs, pack a picnic, and use this guide to plan your summer nights out.

Zionsville Cultural District Concert Series

Now in its 13th year, this is the granddaddy of Boone County's summer concert traditions. Free weekly concerts run every Wednesday evening from June through August at Lions Park (Lincoln Park is undergoing construction), 7:00–8:30 p.m. The final two August dates move to historic Maplelawn Farmstead.

Planning Your Summer Concert Circuit

With four series running across different days of the week, it's entirely possible to catch live music in Boone County several times a month without repeating a venue. Zionsville owns Wednesdays (Cultural District) and Sundays in July (Lions Club), Whitestown owns most Fridays through July, and Lebanon's downtown shows typically land on second Fridays (with a few special dates layered in).

Check each town's official page or Facebook event before heading out, since bands, set times, and rain plans can shift closer to the date.

Whichever town you start with, Boone County's summer concert season is proof that some of the best entertainment this summer is FREE — just a lawn chair and a Friday or Wednesday evening away.
